With the coronavirus pandemic putting many Virginia high schools graduations on hold, Goochland High School has found a creative solution. Announced in a video via Facebook, the GHS class of 2020 will be celebrating their graduation at the Goochland Drive-In movie theater on June 16.
“This will be a memory of a lifetime,” the school stated in the Facebook post. “Students will have the opportunity to celebrate this special occasion in their community, with their families, and be together as a class one more time.”
Currently, the specific details are still in the planning stage. Goochland County Public Schools said they’ll release more details soon.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 8:30 p.m.
