VIDEO: Virginia ranked “worst in the nation” for on-time USPS mail delivery

Have you been clicking “refresh” on your tracking number lately? If so, you’re not the only one experiencing a delay when it comes to things sent through the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Calling the delays “unacceptable,” the lawmakers requested a tour of the Richmond Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC) in Sandston. On Mar. 28, an official audit revealed multiple issues at the facility, including a mail handler sleeping on a parked forklift, mail over two months old left in a container in the truck yard, and nearly 96,000 hours of unapproved overtime completed by staff in a roughly four-month period.
