Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam plans to delay some long-sought Democratic priorities until more is known about how the pandemic will affect the economy, pushing back decisions on whether to give teachers and state workers raises, freeze in-state college tuition, and implement other new spending in the budget lawmakers passed only last month.
“With insurance companies regulating how many months supply of birth control people can get at one time, in most places, it's not possible to get extra birth control, as the CDC has recommended doing with necessary medications.”
Officials in Virginia are warning of possible scams related to the coronavirus epidemic. And they're particularly worried about the $1,200 checks that many Americans will receive from the federal government in the coming weeks and months.
