A northern Virginia man charged with assaulting two congressional staffers in their Virginia office with a baseball bat is now facing federal charges as well.

Man Attacks Virginia Congressman’s Office and Assaults Staffers With Baseball Bat

On Monday morning, a man wielding a metal bat attacked Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly’s Fairfax district office. Two members of Connolly’s staff were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the assailant is in custody.
