When you feel overwhelmed or stressed out or you deserve a reward for a job well done, treating yourself with a spa treatment or two is a great way to destress or celebrate.

You don’t need an excuse to treat yourself, but make sure you call ahead to book your appointment. The best spas typically require guests a two-week or longer advance booking to ensure guests get the time and day they want.

Neroli Med Spa & Beauty Lounge

Location: 507 W. Main St., Charlottesville

Hours: Mon. through Sat. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sun. by appointment only

You can book traditional spa services like massages and facials at Neroli Med Spa & Beauty Lounge, but this gem also offers some additional services you might not find at other spas because of the “med” spa focus. If you are looking for injectables or body contouring, Neroli is the place. Other services include dermaplaning, microneedling, laser hair removal, and permanent makeup procedures.

The Spa at the Omni Homestead Resort

The Spa at the Omni Homestead Resort is one of the most famous and oldest spas in the nation. Thomas Jefferson enjoyed taking a dip in the hot springs, one of the largest draws of the resort. Founded in 1766 in the picturesque Allegheny Mountains, today’s resort spans 2,000 acres and offers various outdoor activities. Guests can enjoy Swedish, Japanese, deep tissue, and several other types of massages, body treatments, and salon services. You can soak in the hot springs at the spa’s Serenity Garden, where they have a geothermal pool, a deluge shower, a Finnish sauna, and a special stone path to soothe your feet. 

Scents of Serenity Organic Spa
