Listen up, Virginia! As you may know, the governor’s seat is up for grabs in 2025. US Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) announced her bid earlier this year, followed by Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney. However, in April, Stoney quit his bid for governor and is currently campaigning for lieutenant governor. He is running against Babur Lateef, a doctor and Prince William School Board member; Sen. Aaron Rouse (D-Virginia Beach); and, in most recent news (like today), Sen. Ghazala Hashmi (D-Chesterfield).
