Whether you’re new to voting or new to the area, it’s a good idea to research your polling place ahead of time.

Polling locations can vary from one election to another, as building availability changes or districts are redrawn. These frequent changes are why it’s so important to stay up to date on where you vote during each election season.

At Dogwood, we have the resources you need to stay informed. Here’s how to find your polling place online.

Vote.org

Vote.org has a polling place locator to find your voting location directly from your state’s elections website.

To use this tool, select your state from the drop-down selector on top. From there, you’ll be taken to your state’s elections website. For Virginia, you can choose from a list where you can register to vote, check your registration status, apply for an absentee ballot, and finally, find your polling place.

Click the “Find your polling place” button, and from there you will be prompted to share personal information, including your name, birthday, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and your county.

After submitting your information, you will see your voting precinct and location information, as well as your registrar’s office and your early voting location.

Dogwood’s voter registration tool

Dogwood’s voter registration tool is the fastest way to check your polling location. If you’re on your way to the polls, you might be in a time crunch, but we’re here to support you at every step.

If you don’t have your SSN on hand, Dogwood’s tool lets you quickly access your polling place information without entering all your personal information; all you need is your address.

Start by visiting vadogwood.com/voter-registration/ and enter your street address. That’s it! Your polling station will appear on your screen, and you’re ready to cast your ballot.
