Friday (May 8)

Williamsburg JCC Indivisible: Freedom Fridays Voting Rights event (Williamsburg, noon – 1 p.m.)

A protest against the Supreme Court’s recent gutting of the Voting Rights Act outside the Williamsburg James City County Courthouse. 

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest (Suffolk, 5 – 6 p.m.)

A weekly sidewalk anti-fascist protest.

Saturday (May 9)

Indivisible: Fight for Democracy – Out with ICE (Tysons, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.)

A weekly protest demanding the removal of ICE in Virginia. 

NRV Indivisible: Saturday Protest at People’s Corner (Christiansburg, noon – 1:30 p.m.)

A weekly progressive protest and mutual aid collection event at People’s Corner in Christiansburg. 

ACLU of Virginia: Hampton Roads Repro Round-Up (Virginia Beach, noon – 1:30 p.m.)

An informative event discussing reproductive healthcare access in collaboration with multiple progressive Virginia organizations. 

Sunday (May 10)

Indivisible: Stand Together Sundays (Newport News, 1 – 2 p.m.)

A peaceful weekly protest. This week’s theme is bring your own sign.

Monday (May 11)

Indivisible: Mobilize Monday (Hampton, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.)

A weekly peaceful protest on the corner of W Mercury Blvd. & Armistead Ave.

Spotsylvania County Democratic Committee: School Board Meeting (Fredericksburg, 5:30 – 10 p.m.)

Spotsylvania County’s school board meeting. 

Tuesday (May 12)

Indivisible: Advocacy and Social Media Workshop (RSVP for address, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.)

An informational meeting discussing advocacy and organization in the progressive landscape. 

Wednesday (May 13)

Virginia Grassroots: Resist & Persist Weekly Protest (Virginia Beach, 7:30 – 9 a.m.)

A weekly protest at Virginia Beach’s Town Center. 

Thursday (May 14)

Virginia Grassroots: COVA Convos May Meeting (Norfolk, 6:30 – 8 p.m.)

A meeting in Norfolk’s Ghent neighborhood discussing progressive organizing. RSVP on Mobilize for the event’s address.
