Republicans want to hand ICE another $70 billion in blank checks, and Democratic Rep. James Walkinshaw isn’t having it. He’s calling out ICE for what he describes as violent, unjust, and unconstitutional behavior and demanding an end to the additional funding. The Senate recently advanced the reconciliation bill, which, if it passes the House, would provide ICE and Border Patrol with four times their combined annual budgets, totaling more than $260 billion from Congress in the first two years of the second Trump administration.
