Mark Warner is focusing on health care during his campaign as costs keep climbing: the average annual premium for employer-sponsored family coverage hit nearly $27,000 in 2025, while Virginia still had about 530,000 nonelderly uninsured residents as of 2023. Warner says universal health care should happen as soon as Democrats return to power—not decades from now.
