Marine Corps veteran Jimi Shaughnessy spoke out against President Trump’s plan to build a 250-foot-tall arch at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Shaughnessy, who works with the National Parks Conservation Association, said the project could disrupt access for families visiting loved ones buried at the cemetery. The National Park Service has acknowledged that the arch would negatively affect dozens of historic sites, and veterans and preservation groups are now fighting the project in court. Trump’s administration is seeking final approval for the arch on Nov. 5.
