Welcome to the first edition of our Dogwood Dog(s) of the Week, an ongoing series where we will highlight one or more amazing, adoptable dogs from across the state and do our very best to convince you to give them a forever home.
So without further ado, please meet the incredible bonded pair of super seniors, Lizzie and Slinky.
At 17 and 16, Lizzie and Slinky are more than just sister and brother…they are best friends. They do everything together, from napping to walking to enjoying some fine dining in a kibble form.
But this terrier twosome is looking for a new family member to join their Best Friends Club. Think you might be up to make it a terrific threesome (or more)? Contact the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria today.
Lizzie and Slinky are currently in a foster home, so to learn more about them or schedule a time to meet them, interested adopters should call the AWLA today at (703) 746-4774 or email [email protected].
Seriously, what are you waiting for? Go call right now. I mean, look at those faces! Come on. If you don’t, we might.*
*We won’t, but a boy can dream and sob quietly into his breakfast oatmeal over how adorable this duo is.
