Here’s our weekly roundup of upcoming events and actions.

Friday (May 15)

Williamsburg JCC Indivisible: Freedom Fridays (Williamsburg, noon – 1 p.m.)

A demonstration protesting the recent bans on the abortion pill Mifepristone. 

New River Valley Indivisible: Friday Night Protest (Blacksburg, 5 – 6 p.m.)

A demonstration protesting the Trump administration outside of a local post office. 

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest (Suffolk, 10 a.m.)

A weekly anti-fascist protest on the corner of Hampton Roads Pkwy. and College Dr.

Saturday (May 16)

Do Something Alexandria: May Monthly Meeting (Alexandria, 10:30 a.m. – noon)

A monthly meeting discussing working groups and more. 

Indivisible: Fight for Democracy – Out with ICE (Tysons, 11 a.m. – noon)

A weekly protest demanding the removal of ICE in Virginia.

Virginians for Reproductive Freedom: Campaign Launch Rally (Richmond, noon)

A rally and march at the state capitol building to kick off the campaign for the Reproductive Freedom amendment. 

Indivisible: No Lies, No War, No ICE! Protest (McLean, 1 – 2 p.m.)

A demonstration protesting ICE, billionaires, and the Trump administration. 

Sunday (May 17)

Indivisible: Stand Together Sundays (Newport News, 1 – 2 p.m.)

A peaceful protest on the corner of Jefferson Ave. and Oyster Point Rd. 

Indivisible: Resistance Book Club (RSVP for address, 2:30 – 4 p.m.)

A book club meeting.

Monday (May 18)

Indivisible: Mobilize Mondays (Hampton, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.) 

A peaceful protest on the corner of West Mercury Blvd. and North Armistead Ave. 

Gloucester County Democratic Committee: Monthly Meeting (Gloucester Point, 6 – 7:30 p.m.) 

A regular meeting of Gloucester Democrats. This month’s meeting will cover fundraising events and redistricting updates. 

Wednesday (May 20)

Virginia Grassroots: Resist & Persist Weekly Protest (Virginia Beach, 7:30 – 9 a.m.)

A weekly protest at Virginia Beach’s Town Center. 

Thursday (May 21)

Indivisible Turning the Tables: Happy Hour (Fairfax, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.)

A happy hour event for progressives to share ideas with each other. 

Party for Socialism and Liberation VA: Norfolk & the US War Machine event (Norfolk, 7 p.m.)

A pro-worker demonstration protesting war and capitalism.
