It’s Pride Month, Virginia! Whether you want chances to show your support for your LGBTQIA+ community or if you’re looking for your regularly scheduled engagement opportunities, we have everything you need this Pride Month and beyond. 

Here’s our weekly roundup of upcoming events and actions.

Friday (June 5)

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest (5-6 p.m.)

A weekly sidewalk pro-democracy protest.

Loudoun Indivisible: First Friday Freedom and Justice Vigil (Leesburg, 5-6 p.m.)

A local civil rights demonstration on the corner of North King Street and East Market Street. 

Suffolk Public Library: Pride in the Park-ing Lot (5:30-8 p.m.)

A local, all-ages pride event at North Suffolk Library. 

Saturday (June 6)

Norfolk City Democratic Committee: Monthly Breakfast (8:30-10 a.m.) 

A buffet-style breakfast and legislative chat with local lawmakers. 

Indivisible: Honor Vets and Democracy on D-Day (Arlington, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.)

Fredericksburg Pride (10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.)

A local festival celebrating Pride Month.  

Virginia Queer Collective: Loudoun County Pride Festival (12-6 p.m.)

A local festival celebrating Pride Month.  

Monday (June 8)

Spotsylvania County Democratic Committee: School Board Meeting (Fredericksburg, 5:30-9 p.m.)

Spotsylvania County’s school board meeting. 

Indivisible NOVA West: Getting Ready for the Midterms (Virtual, 6-7 p.m.)

A preparation meeting ahead of the Midterm elections in August.

Wednesday (June 10)

Virginia Grassroots: Resist & Persist Protest (Virginia Beach, 7:30-9 a.m.)

A weekly protest at Virginia Beach’s Town Center.

Thursday (June 11)

Indivisible NOVA West: We’re Still Here Sign-making Party (Haymarket, 2-4:30 p.m.)

A sign-making event ahead of the upcoming Flag Day.
