Dogwood Dog of the Week: Sif

UPDATE: Sif has officially been adopted. We can only hope it’s by someone with an affinity for dog onesies.

The first day back after a long weekend sucks. There’s no two ways about it. But hey, on the plus side, today is Monday, which means we’ve got another Dogwood Dog of the Week to share with you.

This week, we’re delighted to introduce you to Sif.

Dogwood Dog of the Week: Sif

Sif is a 4-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix who is currently the longest kennel resident over at the Virginia Beach Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (VBSPCA).

She’s very affectionate and loves squeaky toys, butt rubs, and going for rides in the car. She walks great on a leash and enjoys long walks with her favorite people. Sif gets along with other dogs and cats, but she’d also be happy being the only pet in your life.

Sif has also learned some tricks including sit, lie down, paw, and drop it. This smart and easy-going girl would do best in a home with older children since she prefers a calmer environment.

If you’re interested in adopting Sif, stop by the VBSPCA Shelter at 3040 Holland Road in Virginia Beach and speak with a Kennel Technician. For more information on adopting from the VBSPCA, please check out the VBSCPA’s adoption procedures.

We all just celebrated the 4th of July. And it was great. But imagine celebrating it next year with Sif by your side, decked out in a American flag onesie*. Your heart is splitting open, isn’t it? If so, we hope you consider adopting her.

*The onesie is of course optional.
