Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions.

 

Friday (April 24)

 

NRV Indivisible: Trump regime protest, (RSVP for address, 5 – 6 p.m.)

A demonstration hosted by New River Valley Indivisible to protest the Trump administration. 

 

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest, (Suffolk, 10 am)

A weekly anti-fascist protest on the corner of Hampton Roads Pkwy. and College Dr.

 

Fredericksburg Democratic Committee: April Happy Hour, (Fredericksburg, 5 – 7 p.m.)

A casual post-Election Day happy hour. 

 

Saturday (April 25)

 

Newport News Democratic City Committee: Monthly Breakfast – 2026 General Assembly Session Update, (Hampton, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.) 

A community breakfast meant for connection and community with fellow progressives. 

 

Suffolk Democratic Committee: No! Downtown protest, (Suffolk, 10 – 11 a.m.)

A weekly anti-fascist protest on Main Street.

 

Disappeared in America: National Day of Action to Stop ICE Warehouse Detention, (Richmond, 10 a.m. – noon)

A nationwide protest and day of action opposing the Trump administration’s ICE warehouses and detention centers. 

 

Do Something Alexandria: What’s Next After No Kings? (Alexandria, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

A post-No Kings 3 organizing event to discuss next steps. 

 

Working Families Party: 757 Wolf Pack Movie Night, (Norfolk, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.)

A screening of a pro-worker documentary. 

 

Sunday (April 26)

 

Indivisible Turning the Tables: Craftivism Circle Meet-up, (Fairfax City, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

A crafting event with fellow progressives.

 

Loudoun County Democratic Committee: Dulles Dems Community Cleanup, (Chantilly, 1 – 3 p.m.)

A community cleanup event for a historic Black cemetery. 

 

AFL-CIO: Workers Memorial Day, (Charlottesville, 2 – 4 p.m.)

A pro-worker event and celebration. 

 

Monday (April 27)

 

Indivisible: Peninsula Mobilize Monday, (Hampton, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.)

A weekly, peaceful protest for progressive values. 

 

Spotsylvania County Democratic Committee: School Board Meeting, (Fredericksburg, 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

A school board meeting for Spotsylvania County. 

 

Tuesday (April 28)

 

Spotsylvania County Democratic Committee: Board of Supervisors Meeting, (Spotsylvania, 5 – 9 p.m.)

A Board meeting for Spotsylvania County.

 

Stop Taking Our Health Care: Virginia Beach Event, (Virginia Beach, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.)

A protest demanding affordable healthcare for all Virginians.
