At an August 4 Virginia Democrats’ primary-night gathering, Sen. Mark Warner rallied the crowd in support of a power shift in Washington. Warner ran uncontested in the Democratic primary and will face Republican nominee Bert Mizusawa as Democrats hope to regain significant ground in the midterms and challenge GOP control of Congress.
