Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones announced Aug. 14 the creation of a new unit in his office focused on protecting workers. It will focus on enforcing labor laws related to wage theft, workplace retaliation, and employee misclassification. Jones, a Democrat and former union member, announced the creation of this new unit at the Virginia AFL-CIO’s annual convention.
