If you’re here for the house drama, I have abundantly good news. The issues are getting fixed. Over the past two weeks, I’ve genuinely wondered if an OCD flareup was wrecking everything—turns out, intuition took the crown. When our electrician came out on Friday, he confirmed that we’d made the right call.
By the end of the week (hopefully) we’ll be the owners of a brand new heat pump and a new breaker box. Goodbye, oil heat, outdated air conditioner, and just about every penny of our savings. Hello, new system. I’m really, genuinely looking forward to this upgrade as we continue to make this house into our home one update at a time. Ready or not for this week, I’m so glad you’re here.

As we get closer to Virginia’s General Election, organizations across the commonwealth are gearing up for November by driving voter registration, as this increases voter turnout on Election Day.
Many prospective voters—including college students, folks new to the state, and those who have not historically been civically engaged—need a little assistance filling out their voter registration application.
That’s where you can come in, Virginia. By hosting a voter registration drive, you’re not only ensuring that your community can vote, but you’re also helping untapped, underserved communities to make their voice heard.
