We know, we know. You really don’t want to be back at work today. So how about procrastinating by reading about this week’s Dogwood Dog of the Week. Today, our friends at the Fredericksburg SPCA would like you to meet Millie:

Millie is 4 years old and was extremely loved before she came under our care. Her smile brightens the day of everyone she meets, and she loves to get out in the community to say hi to everyone. She is terrified of thunderstorms, and since it’s that time of year, we bought Millie a Thundershirt to help calm her.
She is trying to shed some summer pounds, so she’s been going on extra walks through our Adventure Tails Program! (Fredspca.org/AdventureTails). This Doggy Day Out Program is a great way for dogs like Millie to get enrichment and socialization while they wait for their future families!
Millie has been great with other dogs, and has participated in many play groups at our facility. She can be shy at first, but give her a few minutes and she’ll open up to show her super affectionate and loving side. She has been around toddlers with no issue, and has been described as mellow, sweet and laid back. This gentle gal appears to be house trained as well.
Oh, and she takes her elf everywhere she goes!

For more information about Millie, call the Fredericksburg SPCA adoption center at (540) 898-1500.
