26th Annual Oktoberfest

Location: Fort Belvoir
Fort Belvoir’s Oktoberfest, held at Fremont Field, offers a true taste of German culture with authentic cuisine, beverages, music, and dancing. The four-day festival includes a carnival, Volksmarch 5K/10K Walk, and various family-friendly activities. Entry, parking, and musical entertainment are free, though carnival rides require tickets or wristbands. Food and beer are available for purchase, and cash is recommended.
Vienna Oktoberfest

Vienna’s Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event featuring a wide selection of beers and wines from local and international breweries, including Caboose Brewing and Vienna Vintner. 4th Annual Oktoberfest at Fables & Feathers Winery

The 4th Annual Oktoberfest at Fables & Feathers Winery celebrates the harvest season with live music by Sunshine and The Oddfellows. Schult’s Dogs will prepare brats and other treats. The event has no admission charge, making it a great outing for families and friends. The winery’s relaxed atmosphere and festive activities provide a perfect fall experience.

Wintergreen Oktoberfest
Date: Saturday, Oct. 19
Location: Wintergreen
Wintergreen Resort’s Oktoberfest offers a day of fun in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The festival features live oompah bands, a stein-holding competition, keg toss, and axe throwing. Seasonal beers, brats, and pretzels are available for purchase. Lift rides start at 11:30 a.m., with various ticket prices and discounts for resort guests and members. Activities include a costume parade, live music, and an artisan and craft showcase.
Richmond Oktoberfest
Date: Friday, Oct. 18-Saturday, Oct. 19
Location: Doswell
Richmond’s Oktoberfest, held at the Farm Bureau Center at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, continues its tradition of celebrating authentic German culture. The festival features performances by the German party band Die Lustigen Almdudler and the ACCA Sauerkraut Band, known for its lively brass music. Attendees can sample beers from breweries like Warsteiner and Paulaner and enjoy traditional German foods such as bratwurst, Knackwurst, and Weisswurst. Highlights include a Bier Stein Hoisting Contest and various arts and crafts vendors. Children 15 and under get in free, and tickets are available at different prices.
