Here’s our weekly roundup of upcoming events and actions.

Friday (May 29)

Williamsburg JCC Indivisible: Freedom Fridays (12-1 p.m.)

A weekly peaceful protest outside the Williamsburg James City County Courthouse.

Suffolk Democratic Committee: Resist! Sidewalk Protest (Suffolk, 5-6 p.m.)

A weekly sidewalk anti-fascist protest.

Saturday (May 30)

Indivisible: Farmville Visibility Brigade (12-1 p.m.)

A peaceful protest outside the Prince Edward County Courthouse.

Chesterfield County Democratic Committee: Volunteering at the Que Pasa Festival (Richmond, 12-8 p.m.)

A chance to volunteer with Democrats at a local festival.

Arlington Democrats: Annual Member BBQ (2-5 p.m.)

An annual celebration of local Democrats. Please RSVP for the event’s address.

Sunday (May 31)

Indivisible Turning the Tables: Craftivism Circle Meet-up, (Fairfax City, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)

A crafting event with fellow progressives.

Indivisible: Signs of Democracy Arlington, (Arlington, 2-4 p.m.)

A demonstration protesting Trump’s authoritarian government.

Wednesday (June 3)

Virginia Grassroots: Resist & Persist Protest (Virginia Beach, 7:30-9 a.m.)

A weekly protest at Virginia Beach’s Town Center.

Working Families Party: Wednesday Meeting (Virtual, 8-9 p.m.)

A regular meeting to help local progressives connect and organize.

Thursday (June 4)

Rebel Cafe: June Meetup (Alexandria, 7-8:30 p.m.)

An anti-fascist meeting with local community leaders and organizers.
