Republican lawmakers are blatantly spouting false, anti-immigrant rhetoric, calling undocumented people “dangerous criminals” while data shows that most immigrants ICE has detained do not have criminal records.
Several of those Republicans implored Gov. Spanberger to roll back her restrictions on ICE to allow local law enforcement to cooperate with the federal agency—as they did under former Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
