Monthly Action Opportunity for July
In honor of America’s 250th birthday, the National Park Service is challenging Americans to reach 250 volunteer hours this year with the America Gives initiative.
The goal? The largest year of volunteer service of any country in 2026.
But that’s not all—any volunteer who completes this challenge will be rewarded with a Volunteer Pass, which allows them to visit any national park under the National Park Service for free! Just get your hours done in the next year, and you’re set.
To find volunteer opportunities to count toward your 250 hours of service, please visit Volunteer.gov’s website.
Have an event to add? Email State Organizing Coordinator Ava Edwards at ava@couriernewsroom.com. Please send details at least one week before the event.
