My pastor recently said something that resonated strongly with me. We were in a group chatting about how busy things can get. And he said that, ironically, the days when he’s worn himself out completely are the ones when he lies down at night and feels the best. Ain’t that the truth?
There’s something almost serene about doing work that you know, at the end of the day, makes a positive impact. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. That also doesn’t mean some days—or seasons—might not be harder to push through than others. But at the end of the day, when you’ve pushed through and know you did as best as you knew how—that’s one heck of a rewarding feeling. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, I’m so glad you’re here.

Dear Grace,
I am feeling apathetic towards politics, but I care about my children and my grandchildren’s future. Do you have any advice for being involved in a way that isn’t so toxic and divisive? I’m looking for the ability to make a difference for them. Where do I start?
— Concerned in Colorado

In fact, past the noise and arguments, the day-to-day work of politics is just helping people. As a caregiver yourself, you’ll be a natural! Here are a few steps to get you started…
