José Mejía says he was on his way to work in Arlington when ICE agents approached him — and the next thing he remembers is waking up in a hospital with his face badly injured. Mejía repeatedly told Univision he doesn’t remember how he suffered the injuries and can’t explain why he ended up in that condition. Now he needs an MRI as doctors continue evaluating him, but an ICE ankle monitor is standing in the way. He went to immigration officials asking to have it removed for the procedure — and says they denied the request.
